Several types of Organizations can be defined. Their relationship to other organizations can also be defined.
There are three basic types of organizations:
- Student Organization – Organizations of this type must be formally recognized by the university. With few exceptions, organizations of this type must be added using the New Student Organization (NSO) process specified by the Student Organization Leadership & Development (SOLAD) office in the Department of Student Activities.
- Department – This type of organization must be added by IT. Once a department has been added, suborganizations (e.g. offices, work units) can be added by organizational representatives having delegated permissions.
- University Committee – This type of organization must be approved by the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs on behalf of the University.
